Baked Brie Bites
It’s the holiday season once more, and the holiday season means holiday parties. Crystal and I are fond of holiday gatherings. We’ve hosted quite a few in our time, and we usually serve a baked brie.
Baked brie is awesome, but it isn’t the easiest thing to eat when you’re trying to socialize. If only there were a way to make baked brie in to a finger food.
Well, theoretical friends, we’re here to save the day.
We can’t take all the credit. The good folks who decided to make puff pastry bites helped us out with the pastry, but the idea was all ours.
They are super easy, and super tasty. Give them a try at your next get together. You won’t be disappointed.
1/2 wheel of brie
24 puff pastry cups (We used Peppridge Farms)
12 teaspoons apricot preserves
1/4 cup sliced almond
1. Prepare the brie by slicing it in half and removing the rind if you wish.
2. Cut into 24 equal pieces, and roll into balls.
3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place 12 puff pastry cups evenly spaced. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes.
4. Take the cups out of the oven and remove the tops. Place a ball of brie into each cup, top with apricot jam, and almonds.
5. Bake for another 5 minutes.
6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 15 minutes. These puppies are hot!
7. Enjoy!
