Harry Potter Halloween Party! Part 1
Jeff and I are throwing a Harry Potter Halloween Party! We love the Harry Potter movies and we love marathoning them. This time of year is a special time of year for me, because Halloween is my favorite holiday. So naturally, we combined these two amazing things into one mega party!
The key to any movie-themed party is a steady supply of easy-to-eat food. We will be throwing our “virtual party” in three posts. The first recipe we will be sharing is “Preztel-Rod Wands!” These are easy to make, can be made in advance, and are a perfect accompaniment to the films.
When everyone shows up to your Harry Potter Party, you may opt to let them make their own wands, in the spirit of the movies. This will ensure that the “wand will choose the wizard!”
Pretzel-Rod Wands
Ingredients:
1 Bag Large Pretzel Rods
1 Bag Dark Chocolate Chips
1 Bag White Chocolate Chips
1 Bag Peanut Butter Chips
Sprinkles – Optional
Finishing Salts – Optional
1. Melt the chocolate, respectively, in the microwave, 30 seconds at a time, stirring, until the chocolate is melted. If you don’t do it this way, the chocolate will get too hot and seize up on you. It will be unusable.
2. Dip the pretzel into the chocolate, or spread the chocolate onto the pretzel if you don’t have a bowl deep enough to dip.
3. Add sprinkles to the chocolate before it dries, or sprinkle on a little finishing salt, such as vanilla salt or smoked salt.
4. Place the freshly dipped pretzels onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, and chill in the fridge until the chocolate has hardened.
5. Enjoy!

These look fun and delicious. I love Harry Potter so a themed party would be so fun. I like group themes anyway, good times.
Thanks Tricia! They are really tasty! I like themed parties too. 🙂
