Homemade Caesar Mix

I remember the very first Thanksgiving that I ever spent with Crystal’s family.  Well, I remember most of it anyway.  See, Crystal’s family has a tradition on Thanksgiving that I think is pretty awesome.  While the food is being prepared, everyone gets together to enjoy each others company while also enjoying a Bloody Mary or Caesar. This gives everyone a chance to relax and unwind before filling up with tasty food.  It’s quite enjoyable.

This is a recipe that I have been working on for quite a while.  I  prefer Caesar’s to Bloody Marys, but if you like Bloody Mary’s more, switch out the Clamato for tomato juice instead.  This recipe is, in my opinion, fairly mild.  You can feel free to add extra hot sauce, but I find it easier to do that to each individual drink.  This mix is just a really good blend of flavors.  Sure, you could buy a Bloody Mary mix already mixed up at the store, but I assure you that the finished product won’t be anywhere near as good.

  1. Thanks so much! Have added it to my “to be tried” recipe column… The Caesar is by FAR my favorite drink. Lifetime? Have loathed Bloody Mary’s only because of the super hotness that seems to be the preference here in the US. My Grandfather was a habituate of the hottest possible peppers (generally the Habenero’s grown in his garden came close), and despite sweating from every facial pore while drinking, swore by them. Me? I am a true pepper weenie, utterly. Taco Bell Mild Hot Sauce can make me weep I am such a weenie. 5 years ago I flew from San Diego to Montreal for a Weekend of concerts… While there, Caesar’s were pushed on me from all sides, and I discovered nirvana! While they COULD be hot depending on your own preferences, as a rule, and as a standard, they were not, at all. So have been in love ever since. My cousin has sworn to me that I should buy stock in Clamato. 😀 So thank you for sharing!
