Mint and Lemon Infused Water
We all know that we need to drink a lot of water. I find it hard to drink the allotted number of glasses of water, because water is boring. It’s void of taste, besides minerals. And sometimes that’s just what I’m looking for. Other times, I need some flavor. The problem with flavor is that it adds unwanted and empty calories. If you go for a calorie free flavored water, it’s full of chemical sweeteners that are very bad for you.
So, what’s a person to do?
Protect your health and get the flavor you want by infusing your water naturally! This recipe is a great way to get started. Check it out!
Mint and Lemon Infused Water
Ingredients:
1 Lemon
1 bunch of Mint leaves
1 Pitcher of water
1. Wash the bunch of mint leaves and pat dry. Remove leaves from the stalks and chiffnod the leaves. (Stack the leaves on top of each other, roll them longwise, and thinly slice across the roll.)
2. Thinly slice the lemon in rounds. The lemon rinds have a tendency to turn the water bitter in the pitcher. If this bothers you, cut the rinds off.
3. Add the mint and the lemon to a water pitcher.
4. Add water.
5. Stir.
6. Enjoy!
- 1/4 cup fresh mint
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 gallon of water
- Chiffanod the mint leaves by placing them on top of each other, rolling the leaves, and slicing thinly with a knife.
- Thinly slice the lemons into rounds.
- Add the mind and the lemons to the water.
- Stir.
