Pecan Crusted Tilapia
Today, we have one of my favorite recipes for you: nut crusted fish. I love nut crusted fish! It tastes so good, and it’s pretty good for you. You can use any combination of fish and nuts you want. We used tilapia because we can get a pretty good deal on it at Costco. Pecans might be my favorite nut, because they are so rich in flavor.
Pecan Crusted Tilapia
2 tilapia filets
1/2 cup pecans
1 egg
4 tablespoons flour
Your favorite seasoning (We used Mural of Flavor from Penzeys, our favorite spice store.)
Preheat oven to 350
Mix two tablespoons flour in a bowl with salt, pepper, and your seasoning of choice. I used cayenne pepper and “Mural of Flavor”. Whisk the egg in another bowl. In the third bowl, mix the 1/2 cup pecans with the remaining two tablespoons of flour and more seasoning.
Dredge the fish in the flour, then the egg, and then finally in the pecan mix. Place into a greased baking dish, and repeat. Add to the oven, and bake about 30-40 minutes or until fully cooked.
Serve with a veggie and enjoy!
